I ordered mine with a salad and Yukon gold mashed potatoes. ![]() Next was on to the main course! We both decided that since they are known for their steaks we both ordered their Petit Filet Mignon. They are absolutely yummy! It’s a luscious four-cheese spread broiled on a baguette. We started our dinner with their famous Chophouse Cheese Toast appetizer. Their reviews were great and they all said everything on the menu was amazing. I even surveyed my friends and family on Facebook for suggestions. The menu is huge and I started looking at it days in advance. It has kept a lot of the charm with jazz music playing in the background. It housed the first elevator built in the town and is now the restaurant. It’s in an old brick building that was built in 1888 and was originally the Rankin Store, which sold fabric, feed, seed, and other things. I was so excited and this place did not disappoint. But since it’s insanely hot right now I wanted to be comfortable. The nice thing about The Epic Chophouse is you can dress from casual to fancy. I decided to wear my black sleeveless dress, with my espadrilles. Thankfully, he told me the surprise a few days in advance so I could have time to plan what I was going to wear. This year we’ve been married 32 years! That’s crazy! The 30th anniversary was a huge milestone and think he was a little bummed that we didn’t get celebrate it bigger. One day finally came!ĭue to Covid, like everyone else, we really didn’t celebrate our last two anniversaries and it was our 30th and 31st. We’ve always wanted to go there, but it’s one of those fancy, expensive restaurants that we’ve always said one day we’ll go there. ![]() My hubby surprised me with a very romantic date night dinner reservation at The Epic Chophouse in Mooresville, NC.
